Penny & Lincoln
As the trip approaches, leaving the kids for an extended period of time is really taking it’s toll on us. They are getting a lot more hugs and smooches than usual, and that is saying something.
A couple of years ago, at a super nerdy craft night, my good friend Amy reminded me that sculpey clay was a fun thing to play around with. That night, I made a Lincoln statue for John, which was received with great delight.
We decided that we needed a little sculpture of Lincoln and Penny to accompany us on the trip. It will probably be the most protected thing we carry around with us…
