Greetings friends, from the deserts of Nevada. We have spent the last two days in Vegas. It was fun, but as you know from your own past dalliances in Vegas, it was expensive.

You are having a pretty awesome Sunday when you get to fit in a National Park and watch two great football games. Due to the season, the majority of the Rocky Mountain National Park is closed to vehicles, but we still found plenty to gawk at.
We left Rapid City by way of the Rapid City Dinosaur Park. Is there a better way to start the day? I think not.
About an hour after we left our hotel, we officially made it into South Dakota. Much like Nebraska, South Dakota provides many a lonesome road to drive on through endless farmlands and hills.
We left Sioux City with new oil in Black Betty and a purse stuffed full of complimentary mini-muffins from the Ramada Inn. 270 miles ahead of us was Valentine, Nebraska, which we would reach via the Outlaw Trail.

The first two days of our trip was definitely eventful…we made it to Iowa City on schedule, although there were many diversions along the way.
We are on the road again! The pups were hugged goodbye and then hugged again. See you all again soon!
Due to a passport snafu, we are delaying our trip to Southeast Asia until January, 2015…but we are filling the rest of 2014 with a good ole fashioned American Road Trip!
